California Dreamin'

Greetings from the "Shoebox!" HAHA...not really, I'm actually at our good friends Angie and Bru's house right now but we are staying in a two bedroom furnished "flat" just off base until we move into base TLF (temporary lodging facility for those non-military types). The pack out of Flint House took 2 and a half days. Everything is packed up and on the way to California. We hope that it gets there shortly after we do in September. Also, my car has shipped and will also be there shortly after we arrive. In the mean time Jack, Chase and I are keeping busy at the base community center, library and playgrounds. Jack is still going to his pre-school one half day a week and taking swimming lessons over the summer. He's doing really well at swimming and has been without armbands (floaties) for about 6 weeks now! He's still working on getting all the pieces put together (arms, kicking and face in the water) but getting better every time! We will really miss Busy Bees! It's been a great place for Jack and we'll all miss it. His teachers are sad to see him leave too! He's also doing great at gymnastics. He is in a class with some older kids and gets to practice more "cool tricks." Hand stands are the current favorite. Mr. Chase is growing in leaps and bounds also as babies are known to do. He is teething again and also crawling. He moves with more speed everyday! He just started pulling himself up to standing on whatever he can find. He's pretty disgruntled with gravity at the moment but getting more steady everyday. Who knows, he may be walking before we know it! That's about all the news from over here.
