4th of July Weekend!

We had a fantastic 4th this year as it was also the weekend Matt came home from Iraq! He got home on the 2nd and we had him to ourselves all month long! It was great! Below is a picture of the plane that brought him home. Jack and I got to meet the plane out on the flight line. It was a very sweet moment when Matt turned to walk toward us and Jack wiggled free of me to run to his Dad! I wasn't quick enough with the camera to capture the moment but it is forever in my memory. On the 4th we went to RAF Feltwell (a near by US base) and celebrated with our extended AF family and lots of other people. They had a great carnival, yummy food, an excellent show by the USAF Tops in Blue and of course a fireworks display. The kids had a great time running around while we all visited and listened to the show.

Here we are back together again and very happy! (Jack was really happy...he was just practicing his 'tough' face. Silly kid.)
