The Bertsch Family: December already?

Where did November go? So sorry for being a delinquent blogger! November seems to have happened with out me. We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We enjoyed a fabulous meal here at our house in the company of great friends. Everyone brought a dish to share and all the food was great! The rest of the month was pretty uneventful for us. Matt's been back and forth to the States a few times since mid October for work and has a few more trips to various places coming up in the next few months. We are headed to my brother's house in Blanco, Texas for Christmas with the Watson family. Matt's sister and her husband will also be joining us from Washington. Jack is super excited for Christmas. Tomorrow Santa is going to be at the O-club for breakfast and Jack is has a reserved seat! He can't wait to ask Santa for a guitar and a claw hammer. Don't worry, I'll post pictures! Our other big news is that Jack is potty trained! Well, about 97% that is. He still has accidents but they are becoming less frequent. We started working on it shortly after returning from our trip to the States in October. Over the summer he was starting to show cues of being ready but was resisting so when we got back I tried again. I was actually surprised how quickly he became comfortable with it and soon we graduated from the little potty chair to the big potty (with a 'potty topper'). I was nervous about venturing out of the house without a pullup or diaper but just jumped in with both feet. Armed with potty topper and changes of clothes off we went on our errands. The worst part is that now he'll tell me he needs to go numberous times in new places so that he can completely check out the facilities AND of course touch EVERYTHING in sight. Luckily he doesn't resist having his hands washed! We are very proud of him...he is such a big boy! We hope everyone is enjoying the Christmas Season.
