Finally an update!

Well, we are finally all back together and things have settled down a bit. We got back to the UK at the end of June accompanied by my parents, Clay, Krystal and Travis. While we waited for Matt to get home from Iraq we kept busy by spending three days in London. We did the Original Bus Tour and saw the major London landmarks, then spent a day at the Tower Bridge and then the last day at the Royal Botanical Gardens Kew. It was hotter than we expected but we had a great time. Then we came home and got a message saying Matt would be home a few days sooner than expected! YAHOO! Soo, on the 2nd of July, Jack and I drove out to the base to pick him up. It was sooo neat to see his plan taxi in and then to get to out on the flight line to greet him. I was holding Jack while we waited for Matt to get off the plane. Jack spotted him and got really excited. Then as soon as I got the all clear from our escort (Thanks Bill!) I let the little man go and he ran straight to his dad! It was soo sweet...brought tears to my eyes (in fact just typing about it is making me a little misty!). Soon, we were headed home...together again. We spent the weekend of the 4th relaxing at home while the family went on a driving tour of the UK. They had a great time and saw lots of beautiful country side and interesting sights. After a brief rest for the sightseers we took off VERY early in the morning on the 8th for the airport and started our next mini adventure. We were off to Dublin! We spent two days, one night exploring the city with the main mission of seeing the Guinness Storehouse and The Old Jameson Distillery. What a beautiful city! We walked all over and by the time we got on the plane the next night we were all properly worn out. Friday then dawned another busy day as we prepared for a birthday BBQ. Jack's birthday was the 13th so in order to celebrate with friends and family we had a BBQ complete with enormous bouncy castle on the 10th. He had a great time. Jack's Nana made a super cool Mickey Mouse cake and Matt grilled up some yummy burgers. Jack really appreciated everyone coming out to help him celebrate and has been enjoying his gifts too! My family went back to Texas on the 12th. We had a great time visiting and touristing around with them! I'm sure they are glad to be back to their normal routine so they can get some rest! :)
